You say you want a Revolution, well you know ...

It's been awhile ... (yes, I thought I'd start out with an understatement) and nothing's really changed. I saw the doctor today who, as usual, couldn't tell me anything new, yet he gave me new meds. I don't see the logic behind it, but i'm willing to give it a try.

I think our generation needs a social/cultural revolution. The lyrics to songs from what I call the "Protest Era" (Music that was popular during the Vietnam War protests) are amazing. Some of Joan Baez/Bob Dylan's songs are just one big metaphor and their social commentary is relevant even today. Actually, especially today because of the Iraq War. The earth-mother values of the Seventies Revolution are just things that I agree with and it's a pity that today's counter-culture doesn't seem to be as popular as it used to be. Ah well, things operate in cycles, right?

Speaking of cycles, I'm tired and I need sleep. take care.
